About Brianna Mix Sweeney

Brianna is a business and corporate law attorney, who serves as outside general counsel to a wide range of businesses in Southern California including startups, established business, and nonprofits in California. Brianna has advised her clients on a range of matters, including corporate governance, entity formation, intellectual property matters, business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, employment law matters, and corporate fundraising.

Before starting her law practice, Brianna acted as in-house counsel to a tech start up and worked at a firm where she counseled employers through a range of employment compliance matters, negotiated multimillion-dollar service agreements, and prepared a $3 million-dollar security offering for a Southern California-based restaurant and hotel conglomerate. During her time in law school, she worked in a wide range of legal disciplines including federal criminal defense work, insurance subrogation, indigent advocacy, securities litigation, and FINRA arbitration. Notably, she assisted partners in a $15 million-dollar, eight-week long trial involving complex securities litigation.

Brianna earned her law degree from the University of San Diego with an Emphasis in Business and Corporate law and graduated with honors from California State University Long Beach with her B.A. in American & Ancient History.

Before law school, Brianna was a swim coach with various organizations throughout the South Bay. She was an Assistant Coach for the Peninsula High School girls swim team during one of their most successful seasons. As a life-long competitive swimmer herself, Brianna’s values of dedication and determination have translated into the ethos of Beach Cities Business Law, which is to provide top-tier client services.
